Dear Ex-Cottonian,

The Cotton College Centenary Celebration Committee offers its belated New Year greetings to you and your family.

Probably you are aware of the Centenary Celebration of Cotton College, which was started on 27 May 2001 and to be completed on 26 May 2002. Already three phases of the celebration have been successfully completed – the inaugural phase (27-29 May 2001), the second phase (6-8 Sept 2001), the third phase (20-22 Jan 2002).
The Inaugural phase, as opined by the local press, the alumni and the public of the city of Guwahati, was a grand success. A whole day was reserved specially for the Alumni meet, leading to a Cultural-nite with programmes performed by the alumni of different chapters of Alumni Association of the N.E. region. It was an wonderful experience for nearly 4000 alumni meeting each other inside a gigantic pendal in the Judges field, which in fact created a nostalgic atmosphere experienced once in a life time. Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, an alumnus himself enthralled the audience, young and old alike with his spendid presentation
including his heart warming reminiscence of his college days.

Submitting to the demand and desire expressed by the alumni gathered during the first phase, the Cotton college Centenary Celebration Committee has reserved a day, the 25 May 2002 during its final phase of celebration for more alumni meet. The committee is pleased to extend its invitation to you for your whole hearted participation to this meet. May I further request you to convey our invitation to all other alumni personally known to you who may miss it due to communication gap. Hope to meet you on 25 May 2002.

Thanking you,

Dr. Satyendra Kumar Choudhury

Cotton College Centenary Celebration Committee
