For the last few month's ASEB (Assam State Electricity Board) has been resorting to erratic power supply for reasons known to everybody. But more effectively, this phenomenon is seen during the evening hours when college and school students need to utilize the evening hours in serious studying. Whatsoever, situation is worse that one could possibly think of. One can also hear babies crying under the sweltering environment without getting cool air and water. Not to mention about those executives, who still would like to carry on with their assignments at home with the help of their computers. Well, nothing is possible now as power generally is not available between 6 to 10 p.m. which happens to be very important time for all that important tasks that many have to carry out during this period. Don't anyone realize that it is in fact not a POWER CUT but a TIME CUT instead !!! If this time is lost, then who will suffer - a desperate citizen like me ? No, after all the problem is not just to be set aside as this is leading to a great loss in terms of time value !

I hope the ASEB would better understand the importance of the work that the other citizens have to carry out. Then, why don't they choose some other time slots like 5 to 6 p.m. and 9 to 10 a.m. when people are on the streets coming from office or going to office ? If that is not sufficient, then are the street lights not put off between 12:00 p.m. till morning to save power ? Is there any solution to this ?

Please help this desperare citizen.
